Gaining access to your template: For website template purchases, you will receive instant access to a file guide and video guide with clear instructions on how to create or connect a Squarespace account, gain access to the template, and customize it correctly. We will also contact you by email to remind you to complete the first step of the guide by sending us the email address linked to your new or existing Squarespace account. We are committed to providing access to your template within 2 business days.
Access your custom-designed website: For website design services, no file guide is included. Instead, we will contact you directly by email after your purchase to discuss your preferences and collect the materials needed to build your website, including artwork images, metadata, biography, résumé, contact details, and any relevant press features or links. After receiving all materials on the end of the artist, we are committed to delivering a fully customized website within 10 business days.

Depending on the product selected, your purchase includes either a Squarespace artist website template with onboarding and support, or a website design service in which we customize and implement the website for you. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, neither option includes a Squarespace subscription, hosting, domain name, or other third-party platform costs. The website template, design, structure, and framework may not be resold, redistributed, shared, or repurposed for third parties as an editable or modified template.
Refund policy: We want to treat every client fairly, reflecting our values and mission to support artists. As a result, for website template purchases, refund requests can be considered on a case-by-case basis if, due to technical reasons or unforeseen circumstances, the template ends up being of no practical use to the client. For website design services, refunds may be granted only if no preparation or work on the website has started yet. Once work has begun, refunds are no longer possible. In such cases, we ask for a clear motivation for the request. Any refund remains at the sole discretion of Contemporary Art Issue.
Responsibility & liability: CAI is responsible for delivering the template or web design service as described in the product description, additional information, and terms. The client is responsible for creating or connecting a Squarespace account, maintaining an active subscription, and covering all related platform or domain costs directly through Squarespace. We provide ongoing customer support if you encounter any difficulties. For the website design service, the client must also provide all necessary materials in a timely manner. Delays in doing so may delay completion. All hosting, uptime, platform functionality, and account-related matters fall under the responsibility of Squarespace. Contemporary Art Issue cannot be held liable for technical issues or limitations related to the Squarespace platform.
