Alexis Chen is a Curatorial Assistant at the National Gallery Singapore. Formerly, she was a Cataloguer at Christie’s Singapore and a Research Associate at NAFA’s Institute of Southeast Asian Arts. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Yale-NUS College, where she was a project assistant for the college’s artist-in-residence programme and a research assistant. Her final-year thesis explored Nanyang artists' paintings of Bali landscapes and women within the broader theories of tropicality and histories of Southeast Asia.
