Topologías del Cuidado

Topologías del Cuidado is on view at OMR in Mexico City from November 6, 2025, to January 10, 2026, bringing together works by Geles Cabrera, Candida Höfer, and Maruch Sántiz Gómez. Presented at the gallery’s Córdoba 100 location in Roma Norte, the exhibition reflects on care as a critical and political gesture—extended toward the body, memory, space, and marginalized forms of knowledge.

Through sculpture, photography, and assemblage, the exhibited artists explore systems of visibility, representation, and resistance. Geles Cabrera approaches the female form with a sculptural language that is at once intimate and modern, evoking closeness through lyrical abstraction. Maruch Sántiz Gómez draws from her Tzotzil heritage, documenting everyday gestures and objects in her community with a sense of beauty and dignity that reclaims Indigenous presence. Candida Höfer, in contrast, captures the architecture of institutional power through precisely framed photographs of empty interiors, examining who has historically occupied these spaces—and who has been excluded from view. Together, the works form a conceptual topology in which care circulates not as consolation, but as an active force—moving across materials and histories, rooted in presence and political awareness.
