Biography

Mihai Iepure Gorski is a Romanian contemporary artist working and residing in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Encompassing video art, photography, and installation art, Gorski is a contemporary artist rooted in a post-conceptual tradition.

Born in 1982 in Alba-Iulia, Romania, Gorski’s works are based upon the nuanced notion of perceiving and understanding our reality. Beside his artistic practice, the multimedia artist often acts a curator. Further, the post-conceptual artist is one of the main representatives of the contemporary art scene in Cluj, Romania.

Mihai Iepure Gorski has studied at the University of Art and Design in Cluj-Napoca, achieving his MA in 2007. Gorski has been represented in Romania by galleries s uch as BARIL Gallery in Cluj-Napoca or Galerie Sandwich in Bucharest and has participated in the 2015 Art Encounte rs Biennial in Timisoara, Romania.

Beside his presence in the Romanian contemporary art scene, Gorski has had international group shows since the second decade of the 21st century. Doing so, Gorski has participated in group shows at institutions such as the Vajda Lajos Museum in Szentendre, Hungary; ICR Venetia in Venice, Italy and the Centrum Sztuki Wspolczesnej Laznia in Gdansk, Poland.
